Why is garlic bread so popular?
There’s nothing quite like the rich combination of garlic and butter on top of freshly baked bread.
Originating from Italy, there’s so many different variations of garlic bread that you can make – whether that be cheesy garlic bread, herbed garlic bread and so many more gourmet or artisan variations.
One of the best parts about garlic bread and why it’s so popular is also because it pairs with everything from pasta to creamy soups and fresh salads. It’s also perfect on its own, just as long as you don’t skimp on the butter!
Enjoy baking amazing-quality products that your customers love, all without the extra time, effort and cost.
How to make garlic bread using Suprima roll dough
With Suprima’s long roll dough, making fresh garlic bread in-house takes minimal time and effort. Simply thaw, shape, proof, and bake — our method sheet (available with your order) walks you through each step.
Thaw
Remove dough pieces from the freezer and let them reach 10–15°C.
Shape
Cut each loaf into three equal pieces and remould the ends for a smooth finish.
Proof
Proof in a proofer for 50–60 minutes, or floor-proof until doubled in size.
Bake
Bake until fully baked and golden.
Finish
Cool completely, slice slits across the loaf, and fill with garlic butter. Wrap in foil and reheat at 200°C for 10–15 minutes until hot, fragrant and ready to serve.
