Wholesale Burger Bun Questions
What buns do restaurants use for burgers?
Match the bun to the patty. Most kitchens use 80g or 90g for a standard burger, 110g for a jumbo, and 70g for sliders. We supply all four, in white, with wholemeal and multigrain at 80g and 110g.
How many burger buns come in a carton?
It depends on the size. A carton holds 175 dough pieces at 70g, 160 at 80g, 150 at 90g and 125 at 110g, and each piece bakes into one bun. There are 48 cartons to a pallet.
Where can I buy extra large hamburger buns?
Our jumbo burger bun is a 110g dough piece, in white, wholemeal or multigrain, and it bakes into a bun built for a double or a loaded burger. It comes 125 to a carton.
Is there a minimum order for burger buns?
There is no fixed minimum. Our distribution partners can deliver small quantities, and the number of pieces per carton varies by product.
How long does burger bun dough keep, and how long does it take to thaw?
Kept below -18°C, Suprima’s dough holds its quality for up to 6 months, so you defrost and bake only what you need. It thaws overnight in the fridge, so trays set down after service are ready to proof and bake in the morning. Once it has thawed it needs to be baked rather than refrozen, because the yeast is awake again.
Do you deliver burger bun dough outside Sydney?
Yes. Our distribution partners deliver to all capital cities and many regional locations, usually within a few days.
Do we need special equipment to bake them?
Freezer space, room in the fridge for the overnight thaw, and an oven. Each product comes with its own method sheet covering preparation, baking and finishing, and our team of expert bakers and technicians can guide you through it.
Can we try the buns first?
Yes. Ask for a sample, bake it and put it in front of your team before you commit to anything.
